The Publicity Secretary of Imo state chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC, Cajetan Duke has reiterated that the governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma’s programs are in tandem with the manifesto of All Progressive Congress which is why both the party in Imo and at the National are happy with him.
Duke Stated this yesterday in Owerri while fielding questions from Newsmen.He averred that Uzodinma, inspite of the security and other challenges has lived up to expectation of the party which has led to the relative peace the state enjoys today.
The APC spokesperson maintained that contrary to the criticism of opposition parties aimed at tarnishing the image of the government, Imo state is peaceful, adding that, if the state is not peaceful, how come PDP organized a program in Owerri last weekend which they tagged Egbu Declaration without any security breaches?”No doubt there are pockets of challenges but the governor is doing his best to handle the situation in Imo”.
Also commenting on the statement credited to the governor that Imolites should come back home for Christmas amidst security challenges and bad roads, Duke averred that Imolites shouldn’t abandon our homes as a result of insecurity or bad road.
He added that whatever is the issue will get better with time as the government of the day is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring a hitch-free yuletide.
He accused opposition leaders of spreading falsehood and deceiving the people.”Come to think of it, those claiming there are bad roads in Imo forget that before now, places like Chukwuma Nwoha, Egbu road, Nekede/FUTO roads were not passable. They should start by appreciating the government for the good work done in all these areas instead of criticizing the government”.
