The Imo state Independent Electoral commission , ISIEC has released it’s time table indicating when local government election will be conducted in Imo state.
This is coming almost two years after senator Hope Uzodinma was sworn in as governor of Imo state.Since the Prosperity government, Uzodinma has continued to operate Local government areas with caretaker committee chairmen against all extant laws of Nigeria and judicial pronouncements that declared, illegal appointment of caretaker committees to man administration of third tier of government in Nigeria.
In a release signed by Chief Mr Ugochi P Onyeka as chairman of the commission, of which copy was made available to our reporter in Owerri yesterday, the commission said the election will hold on 12,March 2022 across the 27 local government of Imo state.
The release further stated that nomination forms will be delivered at the Commission’s office located along Orlu road,Owerri.
