Hon Aic Akwarandu, a public opinion analyst and former Special Assistant to governor of Imo state on new media has called on the National Assembly to take over Imo House of Assembly pending the resolution of the crisis currently witnessed at the chambers.
Akwarandu while speaking with a section of Imo journalists in Owerri yesterday, noted that the members of Imo State House of Assembly were only interested in playing petty politics with less concern about the welfare of the people.
Akwarandu who also spoke during his Live TV Series, The Vokal Series, said that in less than 2 years, the house has controversially produced three different speakers. This action he described as childish and very petty.
“The Assembly hasn’t said one thing about Imo pensioners owed for years. They have not talked about Imo workers owed and those whose salaries are deducted without consent, they are only interested in who is the speaker, who sees the Governor, and all that, not welfare of Ndi Imo”, he concluded.
