The Deputy Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu, representing Nwangele State Constituency has built and donated two modern markets to his constituents in line with his promise to empower and turn around the fortune of the people.
The markets, Nkwo-Ebu Prosperity Market Abba and Nworie-Okpu Prosperity Market, Abajah in Nwangele L.G.A were commissioned on Friday, October 15, 2021 by the wife of the Governor, Barr . (Mrs) Chioma Uzodinma in the presence of the Chief of Staff, Imo State Government House, Barr Nnamdi Anyaehie, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Vulnerable Groups, Hon Lady Nkechinyere Ugwu;member representing Njaba State Constituency in the Imo state house of assembly , Hon Uju Onwudiwe alongside other lawmakers, officials of the National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) and other dignitaries who graced the event.
Speaking at the occasion, the deputy speaker who had organized several empowerment programmes, sunk boreholes in all communities and wards, bought cars for most of his aides, supporters and stakeholders and distributed Covid-19 palliatives to his constituents among other gestures, said, he is “passionate and committed to enhancing the welfare of indigenes and residents of Nwangele which is his primary constituency”. Besides, I derive joy from putting smiles on people.”
He commended and expressed gratitude to Governor Uzodinma for all the signature projects he sited in Nwangele and for the appointment of many sons and daughters of the area into key government positions.”The Governor has done so much for Nwangele, hence what I am doing is to compliment what he has already done for us.”
The deputy speaker further assured that the best is yet to come as he hopes to build more markets in addition to spreading the dividends of democracy across all the communities in his constituency.
Also speaking at the event, the wife of the governor Barr Mrs Chioma Uzodinma who was represented by a powerful delegation, said “the 3R government understands the vital role of women in the society and their commitment towards ensuring food security. Hence the need to continue to empower our women raise awareness about the inequality and struggles they face in the society.”
She commended the Deputy Speaker, the Chief of staff, Barr Nnamdi Anyechie and other members of her delegation for their efforts towards ameliorating the plight of the people, especially the rural dwellers.
While also speaking during the commissioning, the Chief of Staff, Barr Nnamdi Anyaehie expressed happiness over the projects and commended the Deputy speaker for placing his people first before any other thing.He encouraged him to keep the flag flying.
