A close source to Munonye who spoke to this reporter in confidence disclosed that, actually Emelumba who goes about alleging that Munonye is a strong supporter of a governorship candidate, hence the reason to stop her at all cost.
It was further gathered that the said allegation against her was unfounded Munonye maintained that as Chief Executive of her media house, she is more concerned about managing her firm as such, every publisher is free to negotiate adverts from any politician same way he does to others.
When contacted, Munonye described the allegation as cheap blackmail which holds no water. She reiterated her commitment to contest the election no matter the conspiracy.
Emelumba in a manner likened to how he allegedly attempted to stop Barr Vivian Ottih’s re-election bid before the plan crumbled and Ottih emerged by popular votes as Chairperson of NAWOJ in Imo state.
