– Commends Uzodinma for recovering University
The Board of Trustees of Orluzurumee Youth Assembly (OYA), the apex youth organization in Orlu zone has, congratulated Prof. Ikechukwu Dozie on his appointment as the new Vice Chancellor of Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University, KOMU, Ideato South, (former Eastern Palm University) by the state government.
This was contained in a release issued yesterday by the spokesperson of the group Engr Kyrian Echerebo and made available to newsmen.
The group also commended the Governor Hope Uzodinma led government for recovering the university evidently built with state fund for Imo people; despite all odds.
They recalled that upon Uzodinma’s assumption of office, OYA BOT called on the governor to ensure that he recovers the institution from the ample grip of former governor Rochas Okorocha who had appropriated the facility “OYA through it BOT was already in court seeking the recovery of the institution and pleaded with Governor Uzodinma to team up with us in the legal battle to recover the university”.
OYA BOT however insisted that it will remain in court until it is establish that the government has fully recovered the school.
“We wish to express our immense gratitude to governor of Imo State for this feat and for appointing our respected, Prof. Ikechukwu Dozie as the Vice Chancellor of the University”, the released concluded.
