The recently appointed Imo State Diaspora Propsperity Ambassador to United States of America,USA and Coordinator, San Francisco, California, Engr Emma Abuchi Ihenacho popularly known as Cobro has called on Imolites to remain calm and embrace peace amid security challenges in the state and the country at large.
Cobro in release made available to Nigeria Watchdog Newspaper,yesterday noted that the governor of Imo State,Senator Hope Uzodinma is doing great job but the people must key into his vision and programs articulated to solving the security issues,adding that Security is everybody’s business.
The USA based Computer Infrastructure and Microsoft expert recalled that what Igbos went through in the past,advising that,as we remember the genocide and that tragic war of that era in our history,we must avoid a repeat of such as it won’t do anyone any good.
His release captioned, “Peace & Safety Shall Reign In ImoTo Umu Imo” reads in part,”We are aware of the current situation in our Home State.
“As we Remember & honor our Biafran Heroes on this special day We plead with each and everyone of you, peaceful Imolites to be steadfast and to be assure that our Government is doing her best to restore and maintain peace for Ndi Imo.
“As we remember the genocide and that tragic war of that era in our history.
We plead with each and everyone of you to embrace peace, preach peace and embrace unity. Encourage your family members and friends of Ndi Imo to share peace in memory of our fallen Heroes and for the survival on Ndi Igbo.
“The citizens of Ndi Imo in Diaspora and all the sympathizers of Ndi Igbo worldwide join hands with Ndi Imo, and Ndi Igbo today in remembrance of our Biafran fallen Heroes, and each and every single soul and casualty from that war.
“As we mark this memorable day, remembering our fallen heroes, We ask our citizens to be loving, kind, peaceful, law abiding and to avoid violence.
May the soul of our fallen Biafran heroes rest in peace”.
