The member representing Aboh Mbaise state constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly has expressed optimism that Aboh Mbaise and the state will soon become 80% APC going by the way people of good conscience are trooping into the party since the emergence of Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma as Governor of the State.
The Aboh Mbaise lawmaker disclosed this shortly after he received the former Imo state People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Director of New Media, Ambrose Nwaogwugwu at his Umuhu ward in Okwuato, Aboh Mbaise to the All Progressives Congress (APC) after he officially defected to the party recently.
The Lawmaker who is also the Deputy Chief Whip of the Imo State House of Assembly expressed happiness at Ambrose Nwaogwugwu’s defection to APC stressing that he is an illustrious son of Mbaise in whom Aboh Mbaise is well pleased and that his coming will further strengthen the party in the area.
Ochoudo as popularly called described APC as a party with human face that is to seeking the good of all going by its sound economic policies centered on how to improve the living standard of Nigerians.
Hon. Obinna urged the former PDP Spokesperson to do his best in his new party APC thereby pronouncing him as one of the leaders in his Umuhu ward and in Aboh Mbaise LGA. He reiterated that the coming of Ambrose Nwaogwugwu to APC will definitely add value to governance in Imo State and to the party.
The Lawmaker equally used the opportunity to applaud the governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma for his giant strides in governance since he came on board, stressing that the governor loves Mbaise people so much, hence he gave many sons and daughters of Mbaise juicy appointments in his cabinet.
He also stated that Senator Uzodinma is a listening governor with human face who thinks about the welfare of others and not just about himself or his close relatives.
The pragmatic lawmaker also used the opportunity to inform his constituents that about eleven different roads in Aboh Mbaise were captured for construction in the 2021 budget assuring that work will soon commence on the said roads to further boost economic activities in the area.
Speaking on the ongoing APC membership revalidation and registration exercise across the country, Hon. Eddy Obinna thanked the people of Aboh Mbaise and Mbaise in general for joining the party en mass, stressing that the exercise has recorded huge success since it commenced in the area. He called on other well meaning sons and daughters of Aboh Mbaise to make good use of the opportunity of the going membership revalidation and registration exercise to join the ruling party to ensure they enjoy more dividends of democracy which being in opposition does not guarantee.
In his response after being received by Hon. Eddy Obinna and other party leaders present, Ambrose Nwaogwugwu expressed gratitude to the APC family especially to Hon. Eddy Obinna (Ochoudo) for the warn reception accorded him since he joined the party and assurred that he will give his best to the present administration ably led by Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma and to his party APC.
