The management of Federal Polytechnic Nekede has suspended one of the students of the institution, Ezike Ikenna, over comments made on radio.

The suspension is for one academic session.

The letter read, “This is to communicate the Management’s decision to suspend you as a student of Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri. This suspension is based on the confirmed report that you brazenly admitted the kingpin role you played during the students’ unrest, which took place on the 8th and 9th of December, 2020 in the school in a phone-in program with Ozisa FM 96.1 held on the 21st of December, 2020.”

It continued, ” The role in the above circumstance is viewed as an affront to constituted authority and inimical to the good image off the Polytechnic. The suspension is for one academic record year, that is 2019/2020 academic session.”
