v Imo now car without a driver
v Ihedioha will never abandon the course to salvage and rebuild Imo
The former Special Adviser to short-lived Governor Emeka Ihedioha and a renowned opinion Moulder, AIC Akwarandu has noted that the Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma since his emergence as the Governor of Imo State on January 14th 2020 has been entertaining himself with one propaganda to the other.
Akwarandu said this yesterday while reacting to the Governor’s claims that the administration under Ihedioha paid for contracts that were never executed.
He stressed that Imolites are aware of the massive developmental projects which the Ihedioha started across the State. These projects according to him were handled by reputable construction companies with visible addresses.
He said when “Ihedioha was managing resources of Ndi Imo, he was prudent and meticulous. Uzodinma does not have such qualities. So it’s either it affects infrastructure or civil servants or pensioners. Someone must suffer the consequences of Uzodinma’s flamboyant lifestyle.”
Akwarandu who described the Imo situation as a Car without a Driver, called on the Governor to channel his strength on paying workers, Pensioners and solving the myriads of problems facing him “since his accidental emergence”.
While speaking on the Ihedioha era, Akwarandu noted that “Ihedioha brought light to Imo State which Uzodinma has turned off. Darkness has taken over but we shall overcome”.
He stressed that Ihedioha will never abandon the course to Rebuild Imo, assuring that the former Deputy speaker of House of Representatives is committed to any legitimate means to ensure that Justice is done for the people.
Recently Governor Hope Uzodinma announced that the banks which guaranteed the contracts for the Nekede/Ihiagwa and other roads must refund the contract sum of N1.2billion and N1.6b respectively paid to them by the state government through Emeka Ihedioha, since they abandoned the roads after mobilization.
