Queen Serah Foundation, a non governmental and non profit organization on Saturday 17th October 2020 held a Breast Cancer Awareness campaign at Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education Owerri, Imo State.
The cancer awareness campaign started with a match walk from Amakohia flyover to Alvan where the program held.
Her Royal Majesty, Queen Ukasoanya Serah in her address at the occasion expressed her gratitude to everyone who joined Queen Serah’s Foundation to mark this year’s annual Breast Cancer awareness in Owerri, Imo State which she dedicated to the loving memory of her beloved God mother who died of cancer in 2018.
According to her, the programme was designed to enlighten women about their breast health, the need for breast self examination (BSE), and the need for early detection of diagnosis.
Asaigbo listed some of the goals and objectives of her foundation which are to provide people with an extensive training on cancer management, to ensure that every woman have access to free Breast Screening/Examination and to impact the knowledge of what they have learnt to other people.
Earlier the special adviser (SA) to Imo State governor on Women Mobilization, Hon. Chief Princess Josephine Chinyere Nnoham commended QueeN Serah Foundation for the passion to assist the less privileged and to sensitize the masses on the dangers of cancer and the possible ways of avoiding it.
