Prince Basil Mary N. Okwara of Umuokwaraezegha Royal family of Umuna, in Orlu LGA of Imo State, who passed on at the age of 86, will be buried on Monday September 28,2020 at the palace of Eze Okwara Chukwu in Umuna Anciebt Kingdom.
His interment will be preceded by a requiem mass at st Josephs Catholic church Umuna.
This was as contained in a funeral programme signed by his son, Prince Ambrose Okwara, who stated that the last earthly journey of his father, late Cathechist and Great Grand Father Prince B.M.N. Okwara will commence from the Imo state university teaching hospital mortuary Umuna.
He stated that 2nd Corinthians chapter 5 verse 8, where it was stated, “ to be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord” as the prayer point for the repose by his father’s soul.
The burial ceremony is expected to attract many dignitaries from far and near, who will come with testimonies that the Prince of the Umuna Ancient Kingdom was a good man who deserves external rest in the bossom of our Lord Jesus Christ. The chief mourner added that his father has merely joined the saint triumphant in the transition from the earthly abode.
