Pastor Joseph Anyanwu of Royal Ambassador’s Church of God in Ebikoro Uratta, Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State, has cried out to the public and security agencies in the country that the General Manager of Owerri Capital Development Authority, (OCDA) Mr. Innocent Ikpamazie is planning to terminate his life and that of the members of his family after willfully and want only he demolished his church without respect to a subsisting court order to maintain status quo in a land matter between the church and one Innocent Opara.
A concerned member of the church, had graciously revealed to newsmen how the Pastor has been receiving threatening calls from some people generally suspected to be working for Ikpamazie after the demolition of the church, was published in one of the local newspapers in Imo State.
When contacted the Pastor confirmed that he has been receiving strange and threatening calls and further hinted that it became worst after the media exposed how OCDA General Manager demolished his church which incident took place under the watchful eyes of the General Manager, Innocent Ikpamezie.
The demolition he said, was done without respect to court order to maintain status quo in a suit between the church and one Innocent Opara. He also wondered how a government official who took oath of office and oath of allegiance to protect lives and properties of citizens irrespective of politics would carry out such act of impunity without respect to temple of justice and with total disrespect to the supremacy of God Almighty.
According to Pastor Joseph Anyanwu, he is raising alarm about threats to his life for the general public and other security agencies in Nigeria to take notice of anything untoward that happens to him, only Mr. Ikpamazie Innocent of who is a confidant of Governors Uzodinma and the current General Manager of OCDA should be held responsible.
Pastor Anyanwu, described the action of OCDA General Manager Innocent Ikpamezie against his church and his life as man’s inhumanity to man and wished that such horrible experience should not happen to his worst enemy.
Effort to reach the OCDA GM for reaction proved abortive as he did not take his call or return same at the time of going to press.
