Honourable Charles Ebonuma (Onyeze), the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Imo State Governor on Special Citizens has in an exclusive interview revealed that Imo Special citizens believe strongly in Senator Hope Uzodinma’s administration going by his efforts in bolstering or boosting the morale and confidence of disabled persons in this 3R/shared prosperity government.
Hon Charles Ebonuma, during the exclusive chat described the appointment of the Special Adviser on Special Citizens and Senior Special Assistant on Special Citizens as a good definition of this present government’s involvement and genuineness in the affairs and welfare of persons living with disabilities in Imo State.
He also stated that the governor’s approval of Honourable Bright Uzoma, the president General of Joint National Association of Persons living with Disabilities (JONAPWD) Imo state, as a representative in the Imo state Community Policing Committee is also another pointer to the governor’s impartiality and open heartedness towards the Imo state Special Citizens.
According to him, the governor did not exclude the persons living with disabilities in his distribution of palliatives and relief materials as an intervention against hunger and poverty occasioned by the COVID-19 ravaging pandemic. “His Excellency has promised to give the special citizens the necessary support and succour they deserve in this all encompassing administration” he said.
It will be recalled that during Hon. Charles Ebonuma’s COVID-19 Sensitization Tour and visit to the homes of the physically challenged, mentally retarded and disabled in Orlu zone, he distributed relief materials to special citizens and also enlightened them on the need to obey the government’s directives to prevent the spread of covid19 pandemic. He also encouraged them to support and pray for the governor for more of God’s grace, wisdom and enablement to carry out his good plans for growth and development of Imo State.
