Management of the Federal University of Technology (FUTO) Owerri, has suspended the proposed introduction of Certificate Processing Fee by students of the institution, after considering reservations expressed by stakeholders.
The Registrar of the institution, J.U Nnabuihe, disclosed this in a release he issued and made available to the press yesterday.
The release stated that, “following several representations made on the issue of Certificate Processing Fee, management at it’s 51st extra-ordinary meeting held on Thursday August 13th, 2020 decided to suspend the introduction of enhanced security features on degree certificates, as well as the introduction of Certificate Processing Fee, pending further consultation with stakeholders”.
