The President of Imsu Alumni Association Prince Ezeala Ferdinand Akano recently led Imsu Alumni on a courtesy visit to the State Commissioner for Education, Prof. BTO Ikegwuoha in his office at the state secretariat complex, Owerri.
Prince Akano who on behalf of the Alumni Association appreciated Governor Hope Uzodinma for appointing an erudite scholar and a staff of IMSU in the person of Prof. Ikegwuoha as Commissioner of Education, enjoined the university don to use his good office to improve on the system.
Akano Congratulated the Honourable Commissioner, stating the willingness of the Alumni Association to partner with the State Government as critical development partners of the university.
Prince Ezeala Akano reminded the Commissioner on the need to employ graduates of the institution in boosting the University workforce, assist in the digitization of transcript application and collection, solicit support for IMSU Alumni Digital Center which is to be run in partnership with Large Michael LTD.
Prince Akano also used the opportunity the courtesy call afforded the Association to formally invite the Commissioner of Education as a special guest of honour in the forthcoming FCT 2020 Annual Global Convention slated for Abuja in the month of August, 2020.
Responding, Prof. BTO Ikegwuoha thanked the Alumni Association for visiting promising to look into the request of the Alumni and attend the Convention when the date is fixed.
