The member representing Ihitte/Uboma State Constituency, at the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Micheal Onyemaechi Njoku (Crown) on Thursday, May 7, celebrated his 2020 birthday anniversary with widows across the LGA, Indigent Women and members of his campaign organization in attendance.
Hon. Njoku on that auspicious occasion selected ten widows from each of the ten wards of Ihitte/Uboma and members of the YouthQuake Campaign Organization, to join him in celebrating his birthday anniversary.
Speaking while distributing food items, wrappers and cash, Hon. Michael Njoku (Crown) said, “there’s no greater joy than coming home to celebrate with his loved ones”. He assured the widows of his continuous support towards them. “This is what I usually do before my journey to the Imo State House of Assembly and won’t stop. My dear mothers, I shall be your husbands to take adequate care of you. You all are now my responsibility. To you my indefatigable team, the future is bright for us as I shall continue to grow with you. I shall forever appreciate your unflinching support and loyalty”.
He later appealed to the people of the area to obey all rules and practices concerning the efforts to curb the dreaded Coronavirus pandemic from spreading into his constituency through community transmission and reminded them on the need to wear their face masks, maintain social distancing and always wash their hands with soap and running water as well as avoid touching their mouth, eyes and noses with unclean hands.
Hon. Crown Njoku was accompanied to Ihitte/Uboma for the celebration by the Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chyna Iwuanyanwu of Nwangele and Rt. Hon. Kennedy Ibe of Obowo constituencies who also commended the Ihitte/Uboma electorate for their wise choice in Crown Njoku.
Both lawmakers who spoke separately appreciated their colleague, Hon. Michael Njoku and Qfor the uncommon gesture of celebrating with constituents especially the widows and for his gifts to them. They appealed to the women to continue praying and supporting the youthful lawmaker as he is on track to make them proud and left Ihitte/Uboma from bad leadership and mindless treasury looters.
