The Member Representing Isu State Constituency and Imo State House of Assembly Committee Chairman on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Chief (Mrs) Ngozi Obiefule, last Friday celebrated the world Tourism Day, by assuring Ndimo of bringing her wealth of experience to work in this direction.
The quintessential and two time lawmaker, enumerated her plans during the occasion and promised to work in tandem with the Honorable Commissioner for Culture, Tourism and Creative Arts, Barr. Chijioke Nzekwe, so as to ensure productivity and conducive market for our tourism industry.
The ebullient female and gender friendly legislator, pointed out that the committee under her watch is eager to resuscitate the tourism sector as it’s relevant to the growth of the state, which potentials she enumerated could not be over emphasized, adding that the major focus should be to maximize the opportunity they have now in reviving the sector.
The Founder Chim-Bute-Uzo Foundation, Non-Governmental Organization, further stated that Imo has rich cultural heritage and tourist centers that could attract tourists from different parts of the world to the state, and opined that, when all of them are properly harnessed, they will not just boost our wealth but will encourage foreign exchange, earning of tourist items and other side attractions.
