“Media Network E-WASH, Imo State”, has commended the present administration of Governor Emeka Ihedioha, for reviving the Imo State Water and Sewage Treatment Plants, which were left moribund by past administration.
The Coordinator, Media Network E-WASH, Hon. Amb. (Mrs) Chika Uju, made this commendation when she led the team of her members and officials for a courtesy visit on September 23rd, 2019, to the office of the Acting General Manager, Imo State Water Board and Sewage, Engr. Celestine Ugoanyanwu.
In her speech, Hon. Amb. Uju, eulogized the Water Board Management for approving the constitution of the Media Committee, charged with the responsibilities of educating and creating awareness on the benefit of clean water in the state. She added that the Media Team is prepared to give all their support to ensure quick reactivation of Otammiri water works and steady supply of potable water to Owerri residents.
The coordinator also expressed optimism on the ability of the board, to ensure that accessible and clean water gets to all parts of the state, by giving example of what the board is doing at Egbeada and its environs.

Reacting to the statement, the Managing Director, Imo State Water Board, commended the team for its support and assured that in no distant time, his management will flood the entire Owerri and its satellite towns with clean, drinking and potable water.
