In line with the determination of Orluzurumee Youth Assembly (OYA), the apex socio cultural youth umbrella of Orlu zone to mobilize and ensure that the local governments area branches of the organization are properly constituted, the National leadership of the Assembly will on Saturday, and Sunday inaugurate Isu and Orlu LGA executives committees, respectively.
According to a release signed by the National Publicity Secretary of Orluzurumee Youth Assembly, Comrade Chibuike Odunze, the two local governments have so far met the requirement for them to be inaugurated as Local government executives and be empowered to inaugurate their community coordinators, subsequently in line with the constitution of the Assembly.
The release stated that, apart from the aforementioned LGAs, other LGAs are getting ready for their inaugurations which will happen any time, soon.
The release called on the youths of Isu and Orlu local government areas to turn out enmass and participate actively in the inauguration exercise, scheduled at the council headquarters.
Odunze nevertheless cleared the air on the speculation that Orluzurumee Youth Assembly now has two factions. “We no longer waste time joining issues with desperate but jobless youths, who have become willing tools in the hands of rugged and self-seeking politicians. Those who claim leadership of Orluzurumee Youths should show proof of membership and certificate of registration and stop deceiving the public”, he reiterated.
He also used the opportunity to invite journalists to a world press conference that will take place on Friday, August 16, 2019, at Newspoint office, where the Assembly intends to unveil their programmes.
