A former Commissioner in the Civil and Local Government Service Commission of Imo State under Rochas Okorocha, has described his former boss’ administration in which she played a leading role as a great deceit, and based on family, inlaws and friends. She maintained that Okorocha’s nepotic posturing was reason the APC leaders resisted the imposition of Okorocha’s son-inlaw, as governor of the state.
Mrs Aririguzo, who was earlier appointed into the board of Imo Water Board by Okorocha, stated this when members of Ahiazu Solidarity Movement to which she is a prominent member visited a PDP chieftain, Barr. Chidi Ojinere, and assured of their support, after announcing their defection to PDP.
The delegation was led by Chief Engr. Richard Ugwu, also an APC leader who upon arrival expressed his happiness on the policies and programmes of Governor Emeka Ihedioha, and the manner Barr. Ojinere, a PDP leader in the state is piloting the affairs of PDP in Ahiazu Mbaise LGA, and elsewhere in the state.
Chief Engr. Ugwu who is also the Traditional Prime Minister (TPM) of Umuchieze Autonomous Community noted that the Policies and Programmes of Governor Emeka Ihedioha and the honest posture of Barrister Chidi Ojinere, as well as his open hand attitude toward people regardless of their political differences had made them in Ahiazu APC and Ahiazu Solidarity Movement to collapse into PDP and urged him not to relent.
Chief Engr. Ugwu added that he led the Ahiazu Solidarity Movement to pay him a visit as well as to inform him that they have decamped to PDP as a progressive minded people in order to support His Excellency, Chief Emeka Ihedioha’s Administration in his effort to rebuild Imo State.
In his respond, Barrister Chidi Ojinere thanked them for the visit, stating that he was elated and amazed at the number of people that graced the occasion and commended Chief Engr. Richard Ugwu, for mobilizing the former APC leaders in Ahiazu Solidarity Movement and Leaders of Ugwumba Youth Movement to collapse to PDP, and urged them not relent in their support to PDP.
In their separate speeches, members of ASM and the DG Ugwumba Youth Movement, Hon. Ikenna Ohiri, Chief Bona Nwoha and Hon. Lawrence Agulanna described Chief Emeka Ihedioha as a man with vision, knowledge and wisdom to pilot the affairs of Imo State to a greater height
They Commended Bar. Chidi Ojinere, for welcoming them and Chief Engr. Richard Ugwu, for his goodwill in organizing the event. They further described Bar. Ojinere as a honest man, a trustworthy son of Ahiazu, and a developer of his followers and promised their unalloyed loyalty at all times.
