A vibrant young legislator in the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Amara Iwuanyanwu, representing Nwangele State Constituency, has given reasons why Imo people should rally round Governor Emeka Ihedioha, in his avowed project of rebuilding the state.
He described the recent Supreme Court judgment in favour of Ihedioha as a divine mandate.
Speaking to some media practitioners at the State House of Assembly, Owerri, last Tuesday, July 30, 2019, after the Supreme Court verdict in Abuja, on the matter between Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu and Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, the legislator appealed to all other people, who have their cases in courts to withdraw them and embrace the government of Emeka Ihedioha, for the interest, peace, progress, prosperity and over-all development of Imo State.
He observed that there are too many litigations on 2019 election matters in various courts, distracting the Governor.
He observed also that fighting Rt. Hon. Chief Emeka Ihedioha, amounts to fighting the divine will of God and wishes of the people hence he appealed to all those concerned to sheath their swords, withdraw their suits and rally round the Governor to uphold good governance that will sure rebuild Imo economy and infrastructure.
Hon. Iwuanyanwu, who won election into the House under the platform of APGA but defected to PDP, expressed satisfaction and joy on the good job being done by Governor Ihedioha, who on a proper take-off had established a number of viable committees and outfits required for efficient administration of the state by putting round pegs in round holes while using necessary qualified personnel for various assignments.
The legislator prayed God to sustain the Governor with strength, wisdom and courage for the task ahead.
Going further, he pleaded with Imolites and the electorate to be patient with the Governor, who promised that will live up to his chieftaincy title, Omenke Ahuru Anya.
