The National Working Committee of Orluzurumee Youth Assembly has said it has perfected plans to storm the various Local government areas of Orlu zone to inaugurate the Coordinators and their executives who will in turn inaugurate the community coordinators across the 315 Communities in the zone in line with its constitutional provision.
Speaking with Newsmen shortly after a meeting with the 12 LGA coordinators in Orlu, over the weekend, the newly inaugurated National President of the body, Engr. Christian Okolie said his executive is committed to ensuring that, Orlu youths are united and their wel-being with the support of prominent leaders of Orlu zone who have been quite supportive to their course.
Okolie expressed confidence in the ability of the coordinators to mobilize their people while sympathizing with the Ideato South LGA coordinator, Mr Uche Okpoko who recently lost his child.
The Orsu LGA born, FUTO graduate of Material and Meturlugical Engineer assured that his regime will bring good tiding and cordial relationship between the elders and the youths of the zone.
Speaking further, he hinted on the resolve of the executive to open an expansive office in Orlu where the youths would readily call their own and help the relevant security agents to curb social vices in the zone through awareness campaign.
Meanwhile, the Orlu LGA coordinator Comrade Christian Ohakwe, has indicated interest to be the first LGA to be so inaugurated considering the fact that Orlu is the headquarters of the zone and should not be found wanting in the Assembly. He regretted that the past executives didn’t sustain the legacy their predecessors laid but were busy following politicians around which ended up almost destroying OYA if not the intervention of the Board of Trustees of the Assembly.
He pledged to carry every youth along in his LGA with everything available to him, describing the president as a man of action.
Similarly, the Coordinator of all coordinators of OYA, Mr Ben Ekwueme, assured that the Orlu youths will be better positioned now that embattled Senator Rochas Okorocha is out of power. He stated that his rescue mission regime didn’t develop Orlu, instead it wantomly created more problems for the zone.
