A philanthropic, patriotic, Italian based Imo businessman, Valentino Ugbala (aka Ikuku-oma) in recognition and appreciation of the recent socio economic and political wind of change and conscious of the need of individuals’ contribution to Governor Ihedioha’s programme, to rebuild, has celebrated the 27 newly sworn-in member of the 9th Imo House Assembly, with gifts of customized Ihedioha made shoes and other items.
Ikukuoma whose team was visibly present at the Imo House Assembly Complex, New Owerri, to present the gifts to the legislators immediately after their inauguration on Thursday June 13, 2019 by the State Executive Governor, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, stated that he was excited and highly elated that a new air of change is blowing across Imo “Imo is our Own” and we must join hands to salvage it, he stated.
He contended and declared that with a personality like Chief Emeka Ihedioha-Omenkahuruanya Imo will be salvaged and “I bet you the new governor will surely rebuild Imo hence we all will join in this forward move hopeful that our new lawmakers will appreciate the magnitude of the job at hand”,he stated.
It would be recalled that the businessman had on May 29, 2019 during the formal inauguration of Governor Ihedioha and his deputy, Engr. Irona at the Dan Anyiam Stadium Owerri had displayed a plastic robot airplane and distributed hundreds of customized Italian made goods to the public.
When queried on the reasons for this philanthropic gestures, he was of the opinion that Governor Ihedioha is predisposed and capable of creating, a very conducive atmosphere to attract foreign investors whereas some big Imolites who are businessmen in diaspora are eager to come home to invest.
