One of the Patrons of Orluzurumee Youths Assembly, Prof. Protus Nathan Uzorma, has called on the newly constituted interim executive officers of the Assembly to always work selflessly, so as to restore peace, unity and synergy among groups in the zone.
Prof. Uzorma, gave the hint to the new executive of Orlu Youth’s apex body last Sunday, during their courtesy visit to intimate him on their programmes.
He informed the new leadership that the load of Orluzurumee Youth Assembly is very heavy, which demands that the new exco works together in honesty, transparency, accountability and doggedness to achieve the notable action plans as earlier mentioned by the president, Engr. Okolie.
He maintained that the action plan enumerated are very crucial and fundamental not only to curb youth unemployment but also to checkmate criminalities in the zone.
Condemning the use of the association as a political off-shoot by some persons, Prof. Uzoma said, Orluzurumee Youth Assembly and the Orlu Elders Council have remained apolitical but social-cultural organization with members in different political parties as such he would not tolerate using the organization for selfish interest.
He promised that he will always support any laudable project embarked upon by the leadership once it is not selfish.
Earlier in his speech, the new President, Engr. Christian Okolie said that the group decided to visit Prof. Uzorma, who he described as a pragmatic Grand Patron, to intimate him of their plans in moving Orlu zone forward.
He also mentioned that the association would rely more on the vast leadership experience of their patron, Prof. Uzorma, so as to ensure that the new exco succeeds and also thanked those who have been before them and promised that the candle light they gave them will not go off.
