The United Progressive Party (UPP) candidate for Orlu zone and Imo state Chairman of Ourmumudondo Movement, Comrade Precious Nwadike, has raised an eyebrow over what he described as suspicious visits of the Vice President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Yemi Osnibajo to Imo State.
Comrade Nwadike stated this while fielding questions with Newsmen in Owerri, over the weekend.
According to the Orlu born Journalist and youth activist, he is yet to come to terms with the actual reason the Vice President has repeatedly visited Imo even at a time the entire world now knows Rochas Okorocha as highly notorious in abuse of due process, rule of law and has committed electoral fraud for which he should be prosecuted.
Comrade Nwadike argued that Osibanjo being a lawyer, ought to know that Governor Rochas Okorocha is lawless and has questions to answer on the terror meted out on the returning officer of Imo West in the last senatorial election and efforts to subvert the will of the people.
“As a lawyer, has he also forgotten that there are over 100 court judgments that were flagrantly disobeyed by the out-going governor who now moves from one court to the other in search of Certificate of Return(CoR)?”,Comrade Nwadike queried.
Speaking further, he said that anyone negotiating Certificate of Return (COR) for Rochas Okorocha should be best seen as the greatest enemy of democracy, stating that Okorocha should not be rewarded for electoral fraud and other untold impunities he represents.
He advised the Vice president to avoid the now Okorocha before he drags his name to the mud, especially with EFCC proving that the Governor had outrightly stolen the Imo bailout fund and the N8 billion of it in Zenith Bank while describing him (Rochas) as a man who only values justice and equity when he feels hurt.”For a lawless man who claims he has Ph.D in law to disregard courts judgments shows the kind of person he is”, Nwadike reiterated.
When reminded that the Vice President may have come to commission projects built by Okorocha’s government, Nwadike said, there is no single project completed by Rochas Okorocha, except for the police and prison headquarters with which he wants to retire huge sum of money.
He stated, “like we all know, he is the contractor and the governor which is why you can’t see any signpost indicating companies executing these jobs”. He argued that it is either Rochas is doing the job or “his siblings and close associates, inlaws who he under pays to do substandard jobs”.
Continuing, the former National President of Orluzurumee Youth Assembly and a reputable Human Rights Activist, contended that Osibanjo knows that those projects he commissioned in Imo were not completed including the 27 general hospitals which the governor now claims he spent N30 Billion to build. “I call the projects conduit pipes to retire public funds”, he insisted.
Nwadike stated that the worse that will happen to Orlu zone is allowing Rochas, a man who is not guided by principle to go to senate. He opined that if allowed, it will create bad image for the zone.
