The South East Youth Mobilization Director, Buhari campaign organization, Hon. Jasper Azuatalam, has called on the people of South East to lend their full support to President Muhammad Buhari second term bid if they hope to clinch the presidency in 2023.
He stated this on Saturday in Owerri,
the capital of Imo during a road show he organized in support of Buhari reelection.
The road show which covered the major street in Owerri was led by Hon. Jasper Azuatalam and some other stalwart of All Progressives Congress party in the state, such as Engr Chuck’s Ololo and Hon. Chima Anozie among others.
The event which started in the morning hours with hundreds of Imo youths, lasted till cool evening.
Speaking to the press after the event, Hon. Azuatalam who said that his job was to make Imo people and entire South East see reason why they should support President Buhari’s return, expressed satisfaction on the support the President is getting from Imo youths.
He said the return of Buhari in 2019 will be the best thing that will happen to South East. He noted that they will get the presidency after him in line with the rotational principle.
He commended the President, who though got the least votes in South East in the last election but did not discriminate in his political appointments.
He said President Buhari has empowered millions of Nigerian youths through various programs including Empower.
He said that despite the label by the opposition on the empowerment program, Buhari will continue to empower Nigerian youths.
According to him, M-power program has over 600,000 beneficiaries while over 1 million market women have been empowered through the market women empowerment scheme, noting that millions will benefit in the days ahead irrespective of the allegation that the be process is a away of vote buying.
