Contrary to the speculations in different quarters that the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for Orlu, Orsu and Oru East federal, Chief Eddy Ihenacho has been substituted with another person, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Thursday January 17, 2019, affirmed the candidacy of Chief Eddy Ihenacho, popularly known as Okuenyeremba.

This confirmation followed the INEC guard line which stipulates that the final publication of all those eligible to contest and whose names were not substituted when the window for substitution was open, be made public before the election proper.

With the latest development, it has now settled the conflicting reports trailing the emergence of Ihenacho as the authentic party’s candidate in the federal constituency which currently has Hon Chief Jerry Alagboso, a two time lawmaker under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), seeking re-election to same position.

When contacted, Chief Ihenacho, an American trained security expert appreciated the electorate for keeping fate with him while urging his opponent during the party’s primary election, to brace up and support his ambition to represent the people at the green chamber of the National Assembly. He discribed his emergence as a win, win situation for APC as he will not sideline any one if elected.

He called on all the aggrieved members of the party to sheath their swords, and ensure victory for all APC candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
