Chief Felix Idiga (JAFAC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is the aspirant of choice for the Federal House of Representatives for Orlu/Orsu/Oru East constituency, authentic sources have revealed, ahead of the party’s primary elections.
Information reaching this reporter has it that the candidature of Chief Idiga remains the only antidote capable of dislodging the Jerry Alagboso led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Federal constituency. According to the report, other contenders have no teeth to bite and venom to weaken the hard livers needed as honourable members of the green chamber of the National Assembly.
The source further observed that only a personality like JAFAC is capable of reducing the power of incumbency syndrome enjoyed by the PDP. Sources say that the Orlu bloc of the Federal constituency has experienced utter marginalization in terms of quality representation and benefits from dividends of democracy.
Across the Federal constituency, Chief Idiga is said to have positively touched lives and empowered many youths, market men and women, sponsored many people academically and established dozens through skill acquisition. They added that Idiga’s health programme has helped pay hospital bills in various hospitals including the Teaching Hospital at Orlu.
A very close source to Chief Idiga explained that the House of Reps hopeful has created a blue print of what he expects the Federal constituency to be in the next four years, and wondered why somebody who represents his people should abandon or deny them the goodies of the office.
In both Oru East and Orsu blocs the youths of the areas are said to have openly advised any opposition to JAFAC’s Reps bid, to honourably step down and fuse with JAFAC campaign organization.
Information making the rounds say the primary election coming up mid-week is a mere exercise to legitimize Idiga’s candidature, as he has made name and given the people practical reasons he should be entrusted with the people’s mandate. In all intent and purposes, Idiga’s high profile and global connections will be on focus to make Orlu/Orsu/Oru East Federal constituency, the best in Imo State, in terms beneficial democracy and effective representation.
