The publisher of community Watchdog newspaper , Comrade Precious Nwadike has emerged the senatorial candidate of united Progressive Party (UPP) for Orlu Zone,unopposed.
The youthful human right activist who served as president of Orluzurumee Youth Assembly for 6 years,and presently national secretary of Imo youth Assembly,emerged in a free, fair and hitch free election conducted by a committee led by the national Treasurer of the party,Hon.Flint Ibekwe.
The primary election which was held at the State party Secretariat,today,October 6,2018 was also witnessed by officials of the independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Directorate of State Security, the police and gentlemen of the press.
Comrade Nwadike who is known for his commitment to good governance has championed the fight against injustice and impunity for which he has been a victim of the oppression and coercion.
His newspaper, community watchdog newspaper is presently engaged in several litigations with the IMO State government for it’s publication about “the alleged missing bailout funds”.
National party members present at the venue of the the primary election include;Deputy National Chairman,Chief Ejike Uche;Chairman,board of trustees,Chief Ama Iwueze and the leader of the party in Imo State,Prof Protus Uzorma while the State Chairman of the party,Chief Innocent Njoku was on ground to ensure peaceful conduct of the excercise.
