As the 2019 general elections draw closer with different parties consolidating their plans, the Director General, Mezie Imo 2019 Campaign Organization Hon. Kelechi Chukwu which group supports of Hon. Tony Nwulu, member representing Oshodi/Isolo 11 Federal constituency in the green chambers of the National Assembly and a front line Governorship aspirant on the platform of United Progressive Party (UPP), has called on well meaning Imolites to join UPP to enthrone good governance and rebuild the state.
The DG said this during a press briefing, recently in Owerri, where he intimated the general public on the efforts the UPP is making to bring power back to the people.
Hon. Kelechi noted that UPP has emerged as one of the leading political parties in Imo state and a beautiful bride for leading aspirants contesting for elective positions in the State and in the South East geo political zone, hence her membership has risen significantly.
According to the DG, UPP with tiger as its symbol has become a major force in the state, with the ideology of hard work, rebuilding our society and redefining a new Imo State where all views will be freely expressed and rule of law observed.
“The Mezie 2019 Campaign Organization”, eulogized the efforts of Hon. Tony Nwulu, one of the strong pillars of UPP for initiating the “Not Too Young To Run bill”, which has today, given the youths across the country and beyond the opportunity to take active part in governance and leadership.
Hon. Kelechi further stated that UPP as at today is the only political party in Nigeria that has taken steps to address the demands of the moment by drastically reducing the cost of nomination and expression of interest forms that has provided a unique opportunity for youths and aged ones to realize their political aspirations.
He called on all aspirants of sound pedigree and popularity to join UPP which is a moving train where a level playing ground will be guaranteed without any form of manipulation or deceit.
