A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Njaba local government area, Chief Tony Mgbudom (Big Fish) has celebrated the APC LGA and ward executives of Njaba chapter in a grand style, over the National Executive Council (NEC) approval of one year tenure elongation of the party leadership which cuts across the National, State, LGA and ward levels respectively.
Addressing newsmen in his Umuokpo Nkwume country home in Njaba LGA, last Saturday, 3rd March 2018, Chief Tony Mgbudom stated that such approval deserves commendation from those who meant well for the party as an attempt to change the party leadership would have so many negative and adverse effects on the party during the forthcoming general elections. He maintained that since he joined the party from PDP that APC has always intact and peaceful. According to him, the only way to support the executives is to appreciate and strengthen them.
Chief Mgbudom further stated that, irrespective of the money released for their up-keep that he would equally ensure the renting and furnishing of a befitting office complex in each of the 11 electoral wards so as to make the party more visible.
He used the medium to present himself to the party leadership and called on them to brace up for 2019 adding that he is yet to make up his mind on the position he would serve. He then called on them to look inward so as to know in what capacity it would be suitable for him to serve the people for a better society and development.
While fielding questions from newsmen on how to accept the candidature of Hon. Ugonna Ozuruigbo of the Imo House of Assembly who doubles as the Deputy speaker, and is presently angling for Isu federal constituency seat whereas Njaba and Isu state councils have not be represented, Amaigbo and Nwangele have had it all. Chief Mgbudom said he is in support of Hon. Ozuruigbo by one hundred percent having been an employer of labour with OZB Communications but added that he would definitely expand the tentacles if given such opportunity to serve at the National Assembly.
Chief Mgbudom further advised Njaba people to vote for credible candidates in the 2019 general elections.
