The newly sworn-in Transitional Committee Chairman for Nwangele Local Government Council, Hon. Chief Bona Akwiwu has vowed to leave a legacy in Nwangele with the on-going Ring Road and Road Revolution projects of Governor Rochas Okorocha in Imo State.
Chief Akwiwu who spoke to newsmen in Owerri over the weekend disclosed that the construction of Ring roads across the Local Government councils by the Rescue Mission Government has commenced in Nwangele after a meeting of the SDC and APC leaders in the area with his supridence.
The Local Government boss stated that work is in progress at the 5 selected strategic road sites in Nwangele. Hon. Akwiwu stated that contractors have been mobilized to ensure a speedy completion as directed by Governor Rochas Okorocha. He asserted that the money was not in for the empowerment of leaders as being rumoured.
The Nwangele Local Government boss said the first road is Eziama-Obaire to Amaigbo linking Abajah and Umunakara with the boundary at Isiala Mbano. Hon. Akwiwu also named the second road as Umuozu to Abbah up-to Dikenafai in Ideato-South while the 3rd one is from police station to school of Health Technology Amaigbo with the 4th one at the location of the Nwangele General Hospital and Health Centre between Umuolu/Abajah.
The local Government Chairman commended the effort and commitment of the SDC members and APC leaders in Nwangele as the synergy shows vision and democracy in action.
