Residents of Umuna in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State have bemoaned the sudden disappearance of Mr Cletus Maduabuchi Echefu, a promising young man,who was last seen in January 10,2018.Echefu who was a member of Indigenious people of Biafra, IPOB had joined his colleaques on a peaceful rally at Okigwe when security operatives attacked them and arrested so many of them while others have not been seen till today.
It would be recalled that before the incident that led to the disappearance of Echefu, many had left the Umuna town, in droves following the resurgence of the state sponsored security outfits said to be majorly after members of Indigenous people of Biafra,IPOB.
The spate of kidnapping, arson, unlawful arrest and killing being allegedly perpetrated by the government owned Security outfit have compelled young men in the town, especially the IPOB members to desert the country for other countries because it is no longer safe for them to remain in Nigeria.
An indigene of the Umuna town who pleaded anonymity told our correspondent that some families who were targeted for inexplicable reasons had their houses raided and burnt to ashes.
When our correspondent enquired of the whereabouts of Cletus Mmaduabuchi Echefu who hails from Amaorji Agbommiri in Nkwerre Local Government area of Imo State,LGA but lived in Umuna, Orlu the source hinted that he was among those attacked at the Okigwe rally that was held on the 10th of January, 2018.
Investigation also indicates that the tensed situation in Imo is caused by activities of the security outfits which is now in look out for IPOB members.
