Distinguished Senator Ifeanyi Godwin Ararume, the Ishiebu, Isiala-Mbano born political gladiator and one of the governorship hopefuls in Imo State, come 2019, last Sunday 31st December 2017 appreciated and put smiles on the faces All Progressive Congress (APC) state, local government and ward executives in the state, as he distributed various Christmas gifts, including 50 kilogram bags of rice, oil and other condiments to them.
He expressed dismay and regretted that they are not properly being taken care of and appreciated for the strategic roles they are playing in the interest of the party. He advised them to be patient, committed and dedicated, assuring them, of better days ahead.
The event which was well attended, was graced by all state, LGA, and ward executives, including prominent stakeholders and party stalwarts, except the state chairman, Dr. Hilary Eke, State Secretary, Hon. Emma Ibediro and the Orlu zonal chairman. It was also, however speculated that the Orlu zonal chairman, who often claims to be loyal to Okorocha, has a way of playing hide and seek to cover his tracks. According to one of them who confided in this reporter, “though, he did not come here today, he will still later come in the night to take his own bag of rice and other largesse.”
Most of the party members, present, thanked Senator Ararume for his magnanimity and pledged their unalloyed support, loyalty and commitment to his course. According to them, “if he can do this, with his personal resources. What will he then happen if he is in any way empowered.”
