A former Governorship candidate in Imo State, Elder (Dr) George O. Ibeatuche (JP) has expressed his determination to eradicate poverty in our society through the formation of registered Cooperative Societies under the guidelines of the Nigerian Cooperative Societies Decree and Regulations 1993 as being regulated by the Federal Government of Nigeria. He gave the assurance that this development-oriented scheme is poised to accelerate massive food production, coupled with improving the general well-being of the suffering masses.
Elder Ibeatuche who is also a veteran Journalist disclosed this while addressing stakeholders in Imo State on his God-given vision to revamp the dwindling economy of Imo State through mechanized agriculture, viable cooperatives and well-articulated skill acquisition programme to alleviate the plight of the suffering masses within and outside in Imo State.

In his speech, the President of the Cooperative Federation in Imo State, Reverend G. M. Samuel commended Elder George O.
