An NGO, and civil society organization under the aegis of OurMumudondo movement has urged the management of EEDC in Imo State to immediately commence the distribution and installation of prepaid meters in the names of Imo consumers and subscribers.
They took this position following what they termed, outrageous, exploitative and criminal extortions in the name of estimated charges of electricity.
To drive home their grievances comrade Nwadike explained that having waited for so long to enable the company to do the needful “OurMumudondo Movement will hence forth protest this abnormally and crude attitude of EEDC.
In a release signed by the state Publicity Secretary of OurMumudondo Movement, Otunba Nathan Anaele, explained that the organization will on Friday embark on a sit out around the EEDC area office to back their demand for the installation of prepaid meters for the consumers. They announced that in addition to the demand for the installation of pre-paid meters, OurMumudondo Movement is canvassing for an improvement in the supply of electricity and better public relations by EEDC workers.
