The leadership of a formidable and upwardly mobile, youth friendly political party, National Unity Party (NUP) have restrategized and adopted a tactical approach to undo the hunger ridden All Progressive Congress in 2019.
Addressing newsmen shortly after their maiden meeting at their Tetlow Road Owerri new/secretariat last Saturday. The party’s state publicity secretary, Hon. Nkeonye Okeke specially thanked the state party chairman Chief Bright Olaokpu for the provision of a befitting party office for the party.
He maintained that NUP is a party to beat with its genuine innovation and passion for the youths leadership. He also maintained that the party parades seasoned politicians like the Orlu zonal and Okigwe zonal chairmen, Chief Simbo Okafor and Chief Anoruo respectively. According to him, in 2019 credibility will come to play against most of the big names in Imo politics because of their past failures and selfishness to enthrone new generational politicians mainly the youths.
In his remark, Nze Simbo Okafor the Orlu zonal chairman of NUP, said, party politics is a game of let us go and not a one man show, he urged the members of NUP to move on an aggressive mobilization which he said is the only panacea for victory in 2019. Nze Okafor also thanked Chief Olaokpu the NUP state chairman for the rent of the new state office and called on the members to ensure it is well equipped with office attendants to ensure that information about the party is well received and stored.
He maintained that NUP has come to heal Imo State of all its old and decayed wounds in politics orchestrated by evil minded and greedy politicians in the past and reaffirmed that NUP has come to make a difference.
